Visiting from Melbourne, I was truly impressed with the food here. This place serves incredibly fresh and authentic Balinese cuisine. We ordered the seafood package for four, priced at Rp 700,000 + 15% tax, and it was worth every rupiah.
The package included a generous spread: fried shrimp, baby crabs, fish, squid, two types of vegetables, tuna soup, aromatic rice wrapped in banana leaf, BBQ honey king prawns, and mussels – all prepared using traditional Balinese recipes. The flavours were bold and beautifully balanced, with just the right touch of spice.
The ambiance is equally impressive. You can choose to dine in a private hut overlooking a peaceful pond or sit in the more social general dining area. Presentation was top-notch, and the staff were genuinely warm and friendly.
If you’re craving seafood in Bali, skip the overpriced tourist traps at Jimbaran Beach. This hidden gem offers far better value, quality, and experience. Highly recommended!”

II. E.·1·“Wir waren 3 Nächte als Familie mit 2 Kindern in 2 sogenannten Grand Deluxe Zelten untergebracht und waren insgesamt eher enttäuscht. Die Lage und die Aussicht auf der Terrasse ist schön, das Essen gut, wenngleich man morgens nur die Wahl zwischen Ei mit Brot oder Pankakes hat. Die geführte Mountainbiketour (3 Stunden mit E-Mountainbikes) und die Dschungel-Tour war super , der Guide sehr motiviert und nett. Der Service ausserhalb des Restaurants war unterirdisch. Die Kaffeetassen für den angepriesenen Kaffee oder Tee auf der Terrasse waren alle komplett verdreckt, in der Zuckerdose tummelten sich die Ameisen, auch Wasser gab es keines, der Behälter war leer. Während unsere Aufenthalts gab es kein einziges Mal eine Art Zimmerservice, die Handtücher in der feuchten Luft immer klamm, der Toilettenpapiereimer voll. Die Zelte sind auch nach dem öffnen aller Rollos relativ dunkel, das Moskitonetz von außen zum Teil kaputt. Um eins der Betten war das Moskitonetz oben offen, wir haben unser eigenes angebracht. Die Sauna ist ein Holzschuppen mit Ofen und einer niedrigen Bank und die Temperatur erreicht maximal die einer Biosauna. Der Whirlpool war defekt, die Wasserbecken und Handtücher gebraucht, erst nach Nachfrage erhielten wir frische.
Wir würden nicht noch mal wieder kommen.”

Now, the food. I’ve seen places get hyped up on social media only to be disappointing in reality, but Rayjin is the real deal. We did encounter one disappointing incident during our stay: a set of earbuds went missing and were later discovered to be in the possession of a staff member. This was understandably concerning, and we reported it to management. The hotel took our complaint seriously and initiated a formal investigation.
To their credit, we were met personally by the hotel director, who addressed the matter with professionalism and transparency. While we are still awaiting the final report on the incident, the hotel extended a gesture of goodwill by providing a complimentary romantic dinner, which was executed to an impeccable standard and helped restore confidence in their commitment to guest satisfaction.

In spite of the isolated incident, Hotel Indigo Seminyak remains a standout destination. The overwhelming number of positives — the luxurious facilities, exceptional staff, superior food, and serene ambiance — easily outweigh this rare mishap.

В первый день хозяин любезно нас туда подвёз, а второй раз мы сами туда пешком прогулялись.||Интерьер гостиницы очень оригинальный, некоторые деревянные части настолько старые, что иссохли и растрескались, придавая особый шарм этому месту. Комнаты тоже очень уютно организованы, но не наша. Эот минус.||На крыше особняка есть крытая площадка для занятий/практик, где можно уединиться с утра.||На первом этаже, где расположена кухня, много столов и столиков, диванов и стульев, можно удобно разместиться и наслаждаться природой. А ещё там расположен камин, и вечером можно посидеть у огня.||А при выезде нам подарили коробочку настоящего зелёного чая, выращенного на соседних полях.||Вечером предлагают ужин. ||Самом место тихое и располагает к созерцанию. Несмотря на многие минусы, мы очень рады, что остановились тут.||Есть и минусы. Перовое - дорога к отелю. Т.к. она пролегает мимо рисовых террас, с вас могут взять плату за "вход", даже если вы едете в отель. Если повезёт, то рано утром можно проскочить, пока охрана ещё спит.||Ужин и доп услуги платные, но об этом сообщают только пр выезде, когда вы оплачиваете счёт.||В нашем номере двери не закрывались на замок, что немного смущало. Номер на втором этаже, где расположен ещё один номер, так что балкон общий на два номера.||Сам номер (делюкс) очень маленький, кровать да шкаф.||Ванна тоже оригинальная, расположена на балконе, так что, принимая душ, можно любоваться видом на горы, но при этом же вас будет видно с дороги.||Кровать заявлена большая, но на самом деле обычная двуспальная кровать.||На второй день соседний номер был свободен, мы там вешали сушиться своё белье после прогулки по водопадам. И этот номер достоин внимания. Огромная комната и огромная кровать, ванна в глубине дома без обзора с улицы. Много мебели и есть камин.||Ещё минусом дома является запылённость. Вокруг кроватей висят балдахины, на диванах лежат подушки, но от них исходит такой запах пыли, что к ним даже прикасаться не хочется. А спать под балдахином мы не смогли, свернули его в угол.||Хозяин и многие посетители отеля курят и спокойно делают это на перовом этаже в общей зоне. Мы не любим запах табачного дыма, так что порой приходилось искать место, куда дым не долетал бы.”

We first came in just for a quick coffee, but the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the glowing reviews made us curious enough to stay for a meal. I started with the chicken wings as a starter and followed with the wagyu burger as my main. Both dishes were absolutely top-notch. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside, and the wagyu burger was simply incredible. The brioche bun it came on was the softest, freshest, and most flavorful I have ever had.
For two starters, two mains, and three drinks, we paid only about 518k, which felt like an incredible value for the quality we received. We were so impressed that we didn’t even think twice about coming back the very next day — not just for one meal, but for both breakfast and dinner — and we were definitely not disappointed.
Breakfast was a treat in itself. The same heavenly brioche bun was used for their bacon and egg omelette, which I loved with all my heart. The combination of the fluffy omelette, smoky bacon, and that perfectly toasted bun was unforgettable. Later that evening, I went for the BBQ pork ribs, which were fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a rich, smoky-sweet sauce that left me wanting more with every bite.
If I could give one recommendation to anyone visiting Bali, it would be to make sure you visit Suka. The combination of fantastic food, genuinely lovely staff, live music that creates the perfect vibe, and prices that make you do a double-take is unbeatable. My flight was scoot , though the journey from Singapore was short but it was nice one. A little irritating was documentation part in terms of clearance from the Bali Airport arrivals . For everything the document was to be submitted & It took time to clear . But then once through the exit , it was fine . Also so many cab providers were there but did not know which one to book as the price varied . So I booked the one Airport was Promoting though higher but more reliable .
I suggest you to book the cab in advance through your hotel as it is much more convenient & also quick . I spent around 60 mins checking with every one & then finally booking one .

This is not a corporate event run by hired hands - each of the people in the team was connected to the farm or the local produce being used and all of them seemed to care deeply about the place. Even though this has a local feel, the admin and service was excellent and professional, with a clear website, online payments, efficient email responses to queries, smart uniforms and well organised transport. We took part in the afternoon cooking class (2 people did the standard and 1 person did the vegetarian). We were greeted by Manda, one of the team who served delicious tea and chatted to us, she was charming, interesting and enthusiastic, this was followed by a very informative farm tour where we were told about some of the key plants and ingredients growing there that are used in the cuisine. You get to pick a few bits of each one as part of the tour. The cooking was done in pairs with a supervising team member always on hand to instruct and guide you. We cooked several dishes in two sessions, stopping to eat them after each session. We sat at a communal table with the other guests and the food was delicious and there is a very social and friendly atmosphere. Drinks are available for reasonable prices and facilities are clean. It was a really wonderful way to spend an afternoon and we came away knowing much more about Balinese food and with full bellies!”

The front is unmissable for the lines of patrons vying for a bewildering choice of home made gelato. To the left, is the pizza "factory" busier than ever.
The centre right section is lowly lit for more intimate dining experiences, where we were lucky enough to be seated.
Running alongside the left wall is a long bar with stools where the artisans of alcohol and caffeine do their magic.
The rear is brightly lit with some larger tables on a white tiled floor where groups can enjoy celebrations and birthdays ( with happy birthday played on Indonesian, if requested ).
This is a highly tuned efficient operation with key staff micd up to relay information between various production teams.
We ordered the burata entree plus garlic bread to share. It was perfect.
Bombay sapphire GnT was AUD $9.50 and served with Schweppes tonic too!
I ordered the evening special seafood gnocchi. It was amazing. Fresh clams and shrimp, right amount of oil and tomato. Great serving size. It was either that or Ossobucho..... But I wanted to try authentic gnocchi.

Everything that can be, is hand made at Massimo and you can tell.
Partner ordered the eggplant lasagne which was a low rise version of the typical wedge, but it was described as such. More plaudits.
Massimo himself, the myth, ate his own dinner a table away from us. A pizza dough topped fish soup flambé.
From humble beginnings, he has created an institution where future chefs are learning the right way to farm and cook and serve the best you can get outside Italy. Perhaps that Beanstalk tree is a direct path back home...

But today, we visited Bali Bird Park — and it turned out to be one of the most touching and unforgettable experiences I’ve had on the island.
The experience actually started even before we saw the first bird. After a long drive, the first thing I needed was a restroom. Honestly, I walked in with low expectations — as we often do in such places — ready to hold my breath. But to my complete surprise, the restroom was spotless. Immaculately clean, with a pleasant aroma, it set the tone for everything that followed. When even the toilets are treated with such care and love, you know the whole place is run by people who genuinely care.
Yes, the tickets are not cheap, but now I truly understand where the money goes. The conditions these birds live in are incredible. Most of them are completely free within the park, flying around yet choosing to stay close to the people who care for them. You can feel the deep respect and love from the staff for every single creature there. The birds are not just well-kept — they are truly happy.
The parrots are gentle, friendly, and allow you to pet them — it’s magical. My son was in awe the whole time, amazed by the sheer beauty and diversity of the birds. We also visited the reptile park next door, and as a snake lover, I was thrilled to hold a five-meter python. That was an unforgettable moment.
