We ordered the signature spicy noodles, Mie Pedas[1]. You can choose your own spice level, and I'd advise you to start from the lowest level, or you'll really be breathing fire 🔥! The noodles are coated in red chili oil, and the first bite is just so fragrant. Even though it's a bit oily, the taste is truly Mantap! We also got an order of Dim Sum[2], and can you believe it's even cheaper than what you'd find at a street stall? And then there's the Udang Keju[3]—fried shrimp paste filled with cheese. It's crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and you just can't stop after one bite! When the bill came, I was shocked. We ordered a whole table of noodles, dim sum, and drinks, and it was only a little over 10,000 rupiah[4] per person! The value for money is just insane.
But to be fair, the downsides are also pretty obvious. First off, the wait! We went on a weekday and still waited almost an hour for our food[5]. I can't even imagine what it's like during peak hours. Also, their drinks are generally sickeningly sweet[6]. Even for a sweet tooth like me, it was a bit much. If you don't like sweet things, I suggest just ordering plain water.
