Friday night in Sudirman, Jakarta, the traffic was soul-crushing... Honestly, if my friend hadn't dragged me here, I probably would have turned around and gone home. But the moment I stepped into JimBARan Lounge at AYANA Midplaza, I instantly felt: Anjay, this trip was totally worth it!
It doesn't feel like you're in the city center at all, more like stumbling into the back garden of some boutique hotel in Bali. The iconic outdoor seating area is truly Mantap[1], with tropical plants and the sound of trickling water. The whole vibe is both Chill and upscale, perfect for unwinding after work or for a date night. The service was also a huge plus. They were all smiles the whole time. A special shout-out to Mas Erik, he even helped us take a bunch of great photos. Mad respect for his skills[2]!
The food didn't disappoint either. We ordered a few things, and my personal favorite was the Salmon Salad[3], which had a refreshing pomelo aroma and was super appetizing. The Ravioli[4] my friend ordered was very creamy and had a soft, tender texture.
