To be honest, when my girls suggested meeting at this place in PIK called Pink Panther, I was a little against it. Just from the name and seeing the super pink decor, I thought it was just another one of those Instagrammable spots only good for photos, and had zero expectations for the food. 🤷♀️
The moment I walked in, I was struck by the cool black panther sculpture at the entrance, which was a huge contrast to the futuristic pink space inside. The whole place is decked out in pink LED lights, making it feel like a party could start at any moment. We booked a KTV private room[1] with its own bathroom, the space was huge, with a high table for dining and a low table for snacks and drinks, two big TVs, the details were perfect! 🎤🎶
Unexpectedly, the food was the real star
I originally thought we were just here to Nongkrong and sing our hearts out, but when the food arrived, it was straight up Anjay! Everyone was shocked!
Their food is not at all on the level of a typical KTV; you could say it was "surprisingly delicious." You have to order the steak[2], it was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy, totally on par with a professional steakhouse. For our main, we ordered the Indonesian Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng)[3], it was full of 'wok hei' and the flavor was authentic. There were also all sorts of snacks, like the fried enoki mushrooms and onion rings[4], which were super delicious, we couldn't stop eating them! Mantap!
But hold on, there's a catch
Although the food is delicious and reasonably priced, everyone needs to be careful! The drink prices here are not friendly at all[5], about 3-4 times more expensive than outside, and because it's not a regular restaurant, the taxes are also a bit higher. Make sure you check the prices carefully when ordering drinks, otherwise your wallet will be crying when the bill comes. 😂

- 2. Focus on the food, go easy on the drinks. Spend more of your budget on the food, you definitely won't regret it. As for the drinks... emmm, I'll let you guys decide, or just think of it as paying for the atmosphere.
