It's just a super down-to-earth, shabby little roadside stall with no AC, fans blowing hot air around, super crowded, and you have to shout to be heard.[1] But once you sit down and smell that overpowering aroma of spices in the air, you'll get why local foodies have been willing to sweat it out and Nongkrong here for over twenty years.[2]
The flavor is truly Mantap!
A few of us ordered a full table of food. Alright, let me give you the rundown:

- Indian-style Flatbread & Aceh Pancake (Roti Cane & Martabak Aceh): You have to eat the Roti Cane[4] by dipping it in the curry sauce; the texture is great. That thin Martabak Aceh[5] is also really interesting, filled with egg and minced meat. So fragrant.
- Pulled Tea (Teh Tarik): The reviews for this are a bit polarized, but I bravely tried it for you all.[6] It's pretty decent, with a faint clove flavor. It's not like those overly sweet, trashy drinks you get elsewhere, and it actually cuts through the richness when paired with the spicy Aceh noodles.

To be fair, the quality control at this place is a bit hit-or-miss. The guy at the table next to me was complaining that his mutton was a bit tough to chew, and I also saw in the reviews that sometimes the noodles are overcooked[7] or the Martabak is unevenly salted[8]. So, what you get really depends on the chef's mood that day. It's kind of like opening a blind box.
