Just left this massive restaurant in Medan called Rucci Plus, and my feelings are a bit mixed…🤯 The moment I walked in, my mind was blown. A restaurant, cafe, bakery, barbershop, and photo booth all crammed into one space, Anjay! My ears were filled with the screams and laughter of children; it felt like every family in Medan comes here to Nongkrong.
For families with kids, this place is basically heaven. There's a huge kids' play area; just toss your kid in there, and parents can free up their hands to enjoy a proper meal. Plus, their prayer room (Musholla) is the cleanest and most comfortable I've ever seen in a restaurant. Gotta give them a thumbs up for that👍.
Seriously, Who Can Handle These Portions?
Speaking of food, this place's motto must be "Scare you to death with our portions." We ordered the Nasi Goreng Gila, and I was shocked when it arrived. The portion… it was like a small mountain. Two people might not even be able to finish it. The value for money is off the charts!
As for the taste, well, it depends on what you order. I highly recommend the Nasi Pakistani Lamb. The lamb is incredibly tender, full of spices, absolutely Mantap! Their Croissant is also pretty good. Lots of variety, and perfect for an afternoon snack.
BUT! The pizza my friend ordered was a total miss. The crust was dry and tough, and the flavor was mediocre. It felt like chewing on cardboard. So if you come here, just stick to the Asian dishes, folks.

The ambiance and food portions are decent, but the service here is… hard to put into words. 🙄 The staff had poker faces the whole time, were slow to respond, and you could call for ages with no one paying attention.
