When I first squeezed into this place, I was stunned... This isn't a restaurant, it's practically a public sauna! 🥵 It was packed, no air conditioning, and the fans were just blowing hot air. At that moment, I was thinking, what kind of amazing place is worth so many people suffering like this? At the entrance, it boldly stated"No Branches" (Tidak Buka Cabang)[1], talk about having an attitude.

But then, when the bowl of Sop Konro[2] was served, I instantly shut up. The broth was incredibly rich, wasn't it?! A dark-looking bowl, unassuming in appearance, but one bite and it was directly Anjay! So fresh it made my eyebrows fall off. The beef ribs inside, a gentle poke with chopsticks and the meat fell right off the bone, so tender it melted in my mouth, without any hint of gaminess[3]. My friend's Konro Bakar[4] (grilled beef ribs) was also incredibly fragrant; I could smell the charred BBQ aroma from across the table. The meat was unbelievably tender, dipped in the special peanut sauce, the taste was absolutely divine. But honestly, eating it plain without the sauce allows you to better appreciate the meat's natural aroma. Finally, we had to finish with an Es Pisang Ijo[5], a cool and refreshing banana dessert that perfectly cut through the richness from all that meat, Mantap!

However, to be fair, this place really does have a bit of an"attitude." First, there's the environment; girls who are sensitive to heat really need to think twice, it's definitely an experience of eating while wiping sweat[6]. Secondly, queuing during lunchtime is commonplace; waiting 15-30 minutes is very normal[7]. There's also a bizarre rule: you can't take rice to go[8], which is quite unique, huh.
