Girls, just got back from Batam and I have to talk about this Gazoz Cafe that's been blowing up on Xiaohongshu and IG!
Before my trip, I saw it had a high score of 4.8 stars on Google, and the head chef is a Le Cordon Bleu graduate with over a decade of experience in Australia[1], so my expectations were sky-high. But after actually trying it, my feelings are a bit mixed. How should I put it... Anjay, it was half heaven, and the other half... well, you know.

The ambiance is a huge plus right when you walk in. It's a two-story space with high ceilings and amazing natural light. The decor is a clean and comfortable modern style[2], perfect for coming with your girls to Nongkrong for an afternoon. Totally great for taking photos.

The heat is very direct. Paired with scrambled eggs and toast, it's super addictive! Be cautious if you can't handle spice, but if you love spicy food, you'll absolutely die for this.

The beef was good, but the Italian potato dumplings in the Potato Gnocchi with Pulled Beef[6] had a texture that was a bit too firm. It's not the soft and chewy type that I prefer, and it felt a bit heavy after a few bites.
