But if you're like me and can tolerate anything for the sake of food, then you absolutely have to check out this legendary chicken noodle spot in Bandar Lampung! When I first sat down, I was stunned. The atmosphere... it's less of a restaurant and more like a big warehouse, stuffy and hot, with greasy tables, and there were used tissues and bones dropped by customers on the floor. I even watched a few ants strolling on the corner of the table[1]… Anjay, I almost got up and left right then and there.
For these noodles, I endured it!
Just as I was getting so hot I started questioning my life choices, frantically thinking "Is this a place for humans?", the bowl of noodles arrived... OMG, it was instantly worth it!
I ordered the signature Chicken Noodles (Mie Ayam)[2], and the amount of toppings was so generous! Piled high with big chunks of chicken, it had that sweet and savory Wonogiri style flavor. The rich sauce coated every single chewy noodle, and after one slurp, I immediately forgave the environment! The noodles also came with a chicken foot stewed until it was fall-off-the-bone tender, full of collagen, such a pro move!
My friend ordered the version with Meatballs (Bakso)[3]. The meatballs had a decent texture and a good meaty flavor, but honestly, it didn't blow me away like the chicken noodles did. But eating it with the soup was still very satisfying. The weather was incredibly hot, so we also ordered a glass of Es Campur[4], it was icy cold, and one sip brought me right back to life!

A regular complained to me that they felt the portions seemed a bit smaller than before[7], but I thought it was fine this time. Anyway, it's definitely enough to fill up a girl.
