Every time I take the kids to Batam Island, finding a place where adults can chill and the kids won't cause a fuss is a monumental challenge! 🤦♀️ It's either a nice environment but ridiculously expensive, or they just don't welcome kids… That is, until I discovered this place, Moora. It's an absolute lifesaver for family outings!
The moment I walked in, I was shocked by how spacious it was. It's huge! Inside, the air conditioning is strong, and outside, there's a lake view. On weekend nights, there's even live music[1], which really sets the mood. Most importantly, they actually have a dedicated children's playground[2]! All the moms out there will get it—my eyes lit up when I saw the playground. I can finally sit down and have a cup of coffee in peace, sob.

I didn't have high hopes for the food at this kind of 'Instagram-famous' looking restaurant, but I was proven so wrong...
☕️ Es Kopi Susu Moora[3]: I have to rave about this! It's probably the best iced latte I've had in Batam. The coffee flavor is rich, the sweetness is just right, and one sip is super refreshing.
🇮🇩 Lontong Signature[4]: This Indonesian rice cake is absolutely amazing! The rice cake is soft and chewy, the sauce is rich, and it has an authentic flavor you can't even find in Singapore. The quality is impressive.
🥟 Cireng Goreng[5]: Fried aci starch, a snack that locals absolutely love. It's crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. You dip it in the sauce, and it's gone in a flash.
The key is the price! We had four dishes and two drinks, and the total came out to less than 20 Singapore dollars. The value for money is so good I thought I'd miscalculated! The portions are also very generous[6], definitely not just for show.

After all that praise, I have to be honest about a few things. The service speed here... is honestly a bit Anjay 😅. Slow service is a common complaint.
