Walking in, the place is actually quite large, with an indoor air-conditioned area and an outdoor area. But don't get too excited, the so-called air-conditioned area is stuffy as hell, it's actually more comfortable outside with the breeze. However, the outdoor area has a bit of a sewer smell, so it's a real dilemma...

I ordered the signature Bebek Bumbu Hitam (Black Spice Duck)[2]. Honestly, the duck itself is excellent. It's cleaned well, not gamey, and the meat is tender[3]. But! The seasoning really made me frown... Overall, it's incredibly salty, especially the signature black spice, which was salty to the point of being bitter, and even had a strange sour taste[4]. The two types of sambal on the side (young mango and onion) were a lifesaver, but they couldn't completely neutralize the saltiness.
I also specifically ordered the Jumbo size, but when it arrived, it felt like... the bones were pretty Jumbo, but the amount of meat, well, you know what I mean[5]. The rice portion was also on the small side; guys would probably need to order extra rice.

Besides the overly salty flavor, the service here is also hard to describe. During peak hours, waiting an hour is considered fast[6], and the staff members all have a poker face the whole time, making you feel like you owe them money just for asking a question. The most ridiculous part is they even charge 3,000 IDR for motorcycle parking[7], a practice that's quite rare in Indonesia.
A set meal costs around 30,000-40,000 IDR[8], which is in the mid-to-high price range for a street-side stall. Although some say it's okay considering the air-conditioned environment, the AC isn't cold, the floor is very slippery, and the utensils don't feel clean... This value for money, I really can't praise it.

- Group reservations are left to "fate." I saw reviews saying that even with a reservation, the restaurant might forget about it[10]. If you're planning a group meal, it's best to call and confirm repeatedly.
- Personal advice: If you have a very heavy palate and can't live without salt, then this place might be for you. But if you're looking for the natural flavor of the ingredients and the complexity of spices, then you can skip this one. It's not worth a special trip. Mantap… tapi asin banget! 😅
