The value for money is seriously unbeatable! My friend and I ate our fill of BBQ and hotpot, and the bill was only 304,000 Indonesian Rupiah[2], just over 150k per person. In this era of skyrocketing prices, that's simply touching. The selection of dishes was also quite rich[3], definitely worth the price.
What surprised me the most was that they actually have octopus[4]! Anjay! After eating at so many All You Can Eat places in Jakarta, this was the first time I've ever seen it. Sizzling on the grill, with a chewy texture, dipped in sauce, it was so Mantap! Just for this octopus alone, I think it was all worth it.
But! I have to be honest about the downsides
I mean, could the ambiance be improved a bit… The air conditioning really wasn't strong enough[5]. Towards the end of the meal, I was sweating buckets, which kind of ruined the mood for me and my girls to Nongkrong. 🥵
As for the food, it wasn't perfect either. Some of the beef had way too much fat[6]. The grill was covered in oil, and I got tired of it after just a few pieces. And the hotpot soup base had a bit too much MSG[7]. For someone sensitive like me, I got super thirsty after drinking it. But to be fair, the staff were all very friendly and attentive, quick to bring more meat and clear plates[8], which was a plus.
