There are so many Instagram-famous spots in Bali, and Mrs Sippy is definitely the main attraction. Every time I scroll through Instagram, my feed is flooded with its iconic multi-level diving platform. I felt like I wouldn't be doing justice to my plane ticket if I didn't come check it out. But to be honest, after experiencing it this time, my feelings are a bit complicated… It was like a rollercoaster ride🎢, with moments that were absolutely exhilarating, and also some things that made me want to roll my eyes.
The moment I stepped inside, the huge saltwater pool was truly impressive, and paired with the chill music the DJ was playing, the vibe was maxed out immediately. Lots of good-looking guys and girls were Nongkrong in the pool or sunbathing on the daybeds. The energy on-site was super high; it's truly a place born for social parties. In the afternoon, watching people leap from the high diving platform, making a huge splash to the cheers of the whole crowd, that feeling was pretty Mantap!
Since there were a lot of us, we just booked a daybed with a minimum spend. We got hungry and randomly ordered some food, so here's the report for you girls:
The seafood main, Mahi Mahi[1], was not bad, the fish was quite tender; Pork and Fish Tacos[2] were also okay, good as a snack to fill you up a bit. As for the cocktails my friend ordered, they looked great, but they tasted like juice with a little bit of alcohol[3], so friends who want to get a little tipsy might need to order a few more. Oh, right, for dessert, you can try the Valrhona Smoked Chocolate Lava Cake[4]; the flavor is quite unique and worth a try.

First off, the minimum spend for a daybed starts at 2 million IDR[5], and it can be even higher on weekends. A real blow to the wallet. Secondly, and this is the part I understand the least, they actually prohibit you from bringing your own towel. You have to rent one for 50k IDR[6]… I've never seen a policy like this before. Finally, don't forget when you pay the bill, all charges are subject to an additional 17% tax and service fee[7]. It really hurts 💔. Also, when it gets crowded, the cleanliness of the pool and restrooms can't quite keep up. I even saw some chipped paint at the bottom of the pool[8], which might be a bit uncomfortable for germaphobes.
