Friends, who gets it! Just got back from Seminyak, and my mind is still full of Hotel Indigo. Honestly, I've stayed in many good hotels in Bali, but not many can make me miss them so much after coming back.
It's not that kind of opulent luxury that keeps people at a distance, but rather a subtle, pervasive comfort, starting the moment you step into the lobby, smell the unique fragrance in the air, and see the genuine smiles of the staff. Anjay, this is how a vacation should be!
Immersive 'Lazy Bum' Experience
The design of the entire hotel is absolutely amazing, blending modern chic with rich Balinese craftsmanship[1], not just a perfunctory display of a few paintings. Every corner is worth stopping to photograph for ages. The room is super spacious, and the bed is so comfortable I wanted to ask them where they bought the pillows[2]! And that small balcony, sitting there at night, enjoying the breeze with a drink, it's just too chill~
Let's talk about the food next. I could fly to Bali again just for their buffet breakfast[3]! The variety is so extensive it'll give you decision paralysis; from Chinese dim sum to Western pastries, Indonesian specialties to Japanese cold dishes, the quality is consistently high. It's definitely a top-tier breakfast among all the hotels I've stayed in, bar none.
In the afternoon, with nothing to do, I just soaked in one of the several pools with different styles, or went to experience their super popular Sava Spa massage[4]. Another minor complaint is that the public beach outside the hotel sometimes looks a bit messy and needs to be cleaned up[5], but this isn't something the hotel can fully control, and it doesn't affect the wonderful experience inside the hotel.
