Anjay! They literally moved a waterfall and stream right into the restaurant, this place in Bogor is just too wild! It's insanely crowded on weekends, the queue is long enough to make you question your life choices, but the moment you walk in and see the view, you instantly feel... hmm, maybe half of it can be forgiven. 😂
Nongkrong Experience Under the Waterfall
This place's real selling point is all about the ambiance. The whole restaurant is huge, surrounded by an artificial waterfall, streams, and ponds full of koi fish. You eat while sitting on the floor in one of the thatched huts (Saung)[1], and the atmosphere is maxed out, giving you the illusion of suddenly being transported from the city to the Balinese countryside.
We managed to snag a spot by the pond, with colorful koi swimming around right beneath our feet. You can also buy fish food for 5k to feed them[2]. It's basically a paradise for taking the kids out; the little ones went crazy for it.
The menu is classic Sundanese cuisine. We ordered their signature Nasi Liwet[3], and it was truly Mantap! The rice was very fragrant with spices, and paired with dried anchovies, it really makes you want to eat more rice. The Gurame Bakar Saus Spesial[4] had a sauce with a bit of a Thai-style flair; it had shredded mango in it, and the sweet and sour taste was pretty good. The Honey Grilled Prawns (Udang Bakar Madu)[5] were also OK, the flavor was on point.

But honestly, this is a typical "ambiance restaurant"; compared to the setting, the food tastes pretty "standard." Some dishes were even a bit of a letdown, for example, the satay meat was on the tough side[6]. Also, the grilled fish portion felt a bit mini[7], so the value for money isn't great. The two of us spent nearly 300k rupiah for a casual meal[8], which hurt the wallet a little.
