Girls, dieting is a problem for tomorrow! Today I found another gem in PIK, this Korean fried chicken place is called Chir Chir, the portions are ridiculously huge, and the best part is they have a buy-one-get-one-free deal, who could resist that?!
I thought it was just an ordinary fried chicken shop, but the moment I walked in, the vibe felt just right. It has that K-drama street-side eatery feel[1], with dim lighting, perfect for Nongkrong with friends. The two of us ordered a regular size portion of fried chicken, and we were shocked when it arrived. The portion looked big enough for three or four people, Anjay![2]
The taste is on point, but there are some downsides
We ordered two flavors, and trust me, you have to get the Garlic Chicken[3] without a second thought! It's fully coated in sauce, but the skin is surprisingly still crispy. It's savory and fragrant, not greasy at all, Mantap! It's absolutely perfect with a cold beer.
The Spicy Chicken[4] is not bad either, but if you're a big fan of spicy food, you might find it not spicy enough. Remember to ask the staff to make it extra spicy[5].
But to be fair, while the atmosphere is chill, there were staff members smoking on the second floor[6], which was a real turn-off. Families with kids might want to take note of this. Also, they give you very little dipping sauce, and they actually charge you for an extra serving[7], which is a bit petty.
