The place has two floors and is quite spacious. You can choose a regular seat or sit cross-legged on the floor upstairs (lesehan), which has a very Indonesian feel. The best part is, they were actually playing lazy jazz music in the background. Under the dim yellow lights, I felt completely Chill.
Don't be fooled by the artsy vibe, the food here is seriously hardcore! I went straight for their signature barbecue series, Menu Bakaran[1], and the seasoning was so "medok" (rich and flavorful), the spices completely penetrated the meat. It was finger-licking good! My friend's Original Steak[2] was also good, but what amazed me the most was the Nasi Bakar Teri (anchovy grilled rice)[3]. The grilled rice had the fresh aroma of banana leaves, mixed with savory anchovies. A total satisfaction for a carb lover! 🍚
