The fish was tender and smooth, and the spice flavor was very fresh, not that overly salty soy sauce taste. Kepiting Saos Padang[4] was also good, the Padang sauce was rich enough, slightly spicy, and very appetizing.
But to be fair, the reviews for this place are quite polarized. I thought the seafood was fresh enough, but my friend who went with me felt that the sauce on some dishes tasted like it was made from seasoning powder, lacking complexity[5], and was pretty underwhelming.
