Every time I scroll through Instagram and TikTok, I always see this place, Wizzmie, especially their new branch in Cirebon. The opening was insanely crowded. I took a look at Google, and wow, over 9,000 reviews with a rating as high as 4.9 stars[1]?! That can't be right! With a "I have to see what the hype is all about" attitude, I dragged my girls there over the weekend.
When I got there, I was immediately intimidated by the scene. The entrance was packed with students waiting to Nongkrong and families with kids in tow. Honestly, if I wasn't checking this place out for you guys, I probably would have turned around on the spot and gone for an iced coffee next door.
Is the food actually worth the wait?
After waiting for almost an hour, we finally got in. The ambiance, I have to say, was great. The place is huge, bright, and clean, the AC is strong, and they thoughtfully provide clean restrooms and a prayer room[2], which definitely deserves a thumbs up👍.

It would be even more Mantap if they were a bit bigger! As for the WizzChicken fried chicken[5] that the restaurant heavily promotes, it felt pretty average. You can order it if you're trying to get a combo deal.

Although it's cheap and spacious, the downsides are just as obvious. First off, the waiting time is a real turn-off! We watched people who arrived later than us get their food, and we had to ask three times before they finally brought our order[6], Anjay! The staff said our order was skipped. The management seems a bit chaotic.
Also, maybe because it was too busy, the cashier who took our order had a sour face the whole time[7] and didn't say a word. That was an immediate minus for the experience. Oh, and don't bother trying the fried wontons. They were on the hard side; I felt like my teeth were being challenged[8].
