Just squeezed out of the crowds on Ubud Monkey Forest Road, I originally just wanted to find a random place to Nongkrong and rest my feet. But then my soul was immediately captivated by a comfortable guitar strumming and singing... Looked up, and it was this place, Watercress. What a fate!
The vibe was absolutely perfect for my aesthetic. A two-story semi-open space, intertwined with tropical plants and warm lighting. No high-end feeling that keeps people at a distance, but instead, very relaxing. The best part was the live music. The singer's voice was a bit languid, singing classic English songs. The volume was just right, it was that kind of Vibe that can be background BGM, and also makes you sway gently along. Chatting was completely effortless[1].
