Honestly, after winding through the alleys of Seminyak and seeing a security guard standing at the door, I thought I had accidentally stumbled into some Speakeasy Bar [1]. Pushing open that mysterious small door, a retro vibe and a rich coffee aroma wafted over me, Anjay! The contrast is absolutely amazing.
Inside, the lighting was dim, with a hint of 60s Hollywood vibe, and the music taste was on point [2]. But there were really a lot of people, the tables were super close together, making it hard to even whisper. However, when the coffee was served, everything was worth it. It truly lives up to its reputation as the"Bali's Best Coffee" [3], the taste was incredibly rich and smooth, Mantap! My early morning grogginess was instantly gone.
As for the food, the Birria Toastie[4] I ordered surprised me; the beef was tender and flavorful, the cheese pull was amazing, so delicious I wanted another one. My companion's Breakfast Burrito[5] was also huge, enough to fill up a guy.
But! Girls, listen to my advice, the food here really depends on luck. A steak my friend ordered before was a huge miss [6]; it was dry and tough, 250,000 rupiah for this? I felt like my teeth were going to break... The prices aren't"Bali-like" at all, almost reaching Australian cafe levels [7]. And the coffee is single shot by default; if you want it stronger and add a double shot, you have to pay extra, that's a bit stingy, huh.
