The whole place has a dark-toned design, with perfectly placed lighting, and the air was filled with live saxophone and keyboard music. The atmosphere was maxed out, super suitable for just to chill or for a little romance. Mantap![1]
A Delight for the Taste Buds and... Some Minor Gripes
After sitting down and ordering, we didn't overthink it and basically tried all their signature dishes.
Let's start with the most amazing one, Mushroom Truffle Soup[2]! The aroma was so rich it was practically illegal, and paired with a croissant, I knew I'd come to the right place from the first bite. Then there's their Smoked Duck[3], the cooking was really well-controlled, the duck was prepared with slightly crispy skin and a juicy interior, not dry at all.
For the main course, we ordered the Lune Signature Fried Rice[4]. I wasn't expecting much from fried rice at a Western restaurant, but it turned out to be surprisingly flavorful, kinda anjay! The portions were also very generous, many dishes are "jumbo" size[5], which definitely gets a thumbs up.
Finally, the Dessert[6] was an absolute highlight! It wasn't that overly sweet, artificial saccharin flavor at all. Even after the main course, I could still fit one in, pure bliss. 🍰
However, I have to be honest. While most of the dishes were delicious, I felt that the taste of some dishes didn't quite match their price[7], and the menu selection isn't particularly extensive[8]. Also, when it's crowded, the service can be a bit slow[9], so if you go there starving, it might be a bit of an ordeal. I suggest setting aside more time to just nongkrong slowly.
