Roadside stalls that cannot be seen only from the outside. You have to visit to try the taste of Soto Ayam that is offered. In my opinion, this soto ayam offers the best taste in Surabaya.
Immediately find a seat first (because it's quite difficult to get a seat at rush hour) then place an order, and the food will be delivered directly to your table. After finishing your meal, you can make payment to the cashier (can accept cash & QR payments)
You can order ,"Soto Ayam Campur" (rice and soup served in one bowl) or "Soto Ayam Pisah" (rice and soup served separately) and choose thighs or breasts with skin or without skin. You can also add liver / gizzard / eggs / crackers depending on your taste
Mix with koya powder according to taste to add flavor (too much at once will make the gravy thick but some people like it that way) also chili & lime (optional, depending on your taste)”

AArga P·1·“Writing this to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Harris Hotel Gubeng in Surabaya. As a customer who has stayed at your hotel in the past, I expected a certain level of quality and service that, unfortunately, was not met during my most recent visit.
First, I would like to address the issue with the breakfast buffet. More than half of the items served were cold, and to my dismay, some of the sambal and vegetable garnishes were not fresh and even had a sour taste. This lack of attention to quality control is concerning, as a well-prepared breakfast is an essential part of any hotel experience.
Furthermore, I encountered several issues with the service provided by your waitstaff. They often failed to address our requests thoroughly, and dishes were frequently taken from our table without even asking. This disruption to our dining experience was both frustrating and disappointing.
One aspect that particularly stood out was the inconsistency in the temperature of the food served. Even dishes that were meant to be served hot, such as soup or soto, was cold. I had to asked one of the staff to reheat it, and it still came in warm, at most!
This suggests a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen and a failure to uphold basic standards of food preparation.
In addition to the dining experience, the condition of the rooms was far from satisfactory. Some floors felt sticky, including in the bathroom, which raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. The showers appeared old and rusted, contributing to an overall impression of poor maintenance and subpar room quality.
While it was mentioned that the hotel was undergoing renovations, I was disappointed to discover that only the lobby area seemed to have received attention. Having stayed at Harris Hotel Gubeng one to two years ago, I expected to see improvements in the rooms, but instead, they remained mostly the same or even worse. This limited renovation effort has left me questioning the hotel's commitment to providing a pleasant and updated guest experience.
I understand that Harris Hotel Gubeng is positioned as an affordable accommodation option. However, the line between affordability and cheapness is blurred, and I feel that my recent stay leaned more towards the latter. As a customer, I believe that even at an affordable price point, guests should receive a certain level of comfort, cleanliness, and attentive service.
There are other complaints that I would like to address, yet things that were mentioned above think might be some that bothers me the most”

My favourites here are ayam geprek, nasi madura, kue lekker, bubur mang dudung, and many others that I can not mention 😂. But, try visiting this place earlier, before lunch or dinner time to easily find seats. When lunch time, especially, you really have to try hard to find seats. Oh, and also car park. It is not easy to park your car here, so I suggest you to come here by motorcycle or taxi or any other public transport to avoid the not-easy-parking problem”

I can't believe how nice they were! It was beyond my expectations. From the fast service, to the kind gestures, the explanation of the dishes, the extra effort, and lets not forget the AMAZING food, it's by far one of the best food experiences I had so far in Surabaya.
The atmosphere was nice, and I really enjoyed the room we were seated. One small annoying thing was that we sat next to the DJ, who, with all due respect, wasn't the best or at least chose the wrong music vibes at the wrong time? If it would be different music I think we would have stayed even longer, because it was just THAT good there!!
If anyone of Locahands reads this.. First and foremost, the speed of the service, how everyone just works so well in sync and is on the look out to help and serve is amazing! But a minor minor minor workpoint for me personally, if people have a large order (which we had because of our anniverssary haha) bring the drinks and the food in a slower pace, so we could take our time a little bit more.
But once again, apart from that, I had an amazing night and my belly was so full! Oh and if anyone from Locahands sees this, I want to see the picture 2 of the waiters took with us before we left!
