“Hands down to the best egg tart in J-town! My father-in-law ordered it for the first time back in Sep 2024 based on someone else’s recommendation, and now we have been dedicated to this only egg tart brand. If there’s a special occassion, I will order this only if we can eat it fresh that day. If somebody talks about egg tart, I will always recommend this one too. Seriously, dulu pernah coba yang enak banget pas holiday di Macau, and never ever thought bisa ketemu yang sebanding di Jakarta. “Elevated Comfort Food with Genuine Hospitality (PM & AM Experience!) Came here for dinner and Braud once again didn’t disappoint. It’s super easy to spot right across from District 8, just look for the big “D8” and you’ll find it. They offer valet parking for just IDR 30K, which is such a relief in this busy area. We arrived at 7PM, originally thinking about getting something from the breakfast menu. Thankfully, Davi, who welcomed us so warmly, explained the AM menu ends at brunch. He then gave us some amazing recommendations that made our dinner experience even better. First up, they served us complimentary bread and butter and we accidentally ordered another set (50k) because it was just that good! Turns out, they use a special Mermite butter, similar to Vegemite definitely hit a nostalgic note for me from my Aussie days. Crispy crust, warm fluffy inside… divine. Davi also recommended the Moscatto (150k/glass) sweet, floral, light, and refreshing. We followed his tip to have it served in a chilled glass, which really brought out the crisp aroma. Fun tip: chilled glassware is perfect for light wines like Moscatto especially when you’re pairing with seafood or even steak. We ordered a few dishes to share from the Large Plates menu: Truffle Cacio e Pepe (180k) Fresh tagliatelle pasta, black pepper, white truffle oil rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Crispy Skin Market Fish (255k) Today’s fish was Barramundi, and it was phenomenal. Crispy skin, perfectly cooked flesh definitely our favorite. Glazed Orange Baby Carrots (75k) – Recommended by Davi again. Carrots with orange glaze and mint bright, refreshing, and surprisingly addictive. I was craving steak but didn’t want the 300g minimum from the main menu since we were nearly full. Then we spotted the Steak Royale (195k) on the burger/sandwich section what a great find! Made with Australian Black Diamond MB2+ sirloin, and instead of bread, it’s served in a crispy croissant. My first time trying steak this way and I absolutely loved it. Buttery, flaky, and super satisfying if you're into bold, savory combos. P.S. I’ve also been here during the AM for brunch, and it was just as lovely: Valet parking still available for IDR 30k Butterscotch Bombolone (32k) A must-try! Soft, fluffy, with luscious sauce inside. Hazelnut Croissant (42k) Rich, nutty, crispy outside. Flat White (45k) Smooth and balanced, pairs perfectly with pastries. Cacio e Pepe (130k) A great pick for brunch if you want something more filling. P.s: they got piamist on wed and free flow wine on friday 7pm onwards”

“Another level ice cream yang rasanya enak. Variannya menarik dari kombinasi rasanya. Kami memilih Berry O dan fudge brownie dan semuanya enak-enak. Cukup banyak kursi dan meja bila ingin menikmati ice cream / minuman di tempat namun bila ramai harus bersabar. Pemesanan mudah, pembayaran dengan qris juga cepat. Staff yang melayani baik juga tidak terkesan cuek / malas melayani customer. Selesai makan pun saat kami meninggalkan tempat masih mengucap : terima kasih. Kami respect untuk itu. Next ingin berkunjung siang hari karna kami datang saat malam. Terdapat toilet didalamnya juga & berfungsi ya. Untuk lokasi mudah di jangkau namun parkir kendaraan roda 4 bila ramai cukup sulit ya. Terbantu dengan bapak-bapak parkir disana. Sukses selalu cold moo menteng.”

“Visited this cafe for lunch and coffee, while working on personal stuffs. It’s more suitable for work meetings, since there weren’t that many power outlets. Service was excellent. Loved the quiet, classic ambience. Just perfect for a much-needed me time. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and strawberry mint ice tea, both were excellent and surprisingly filling for the size. Though I discovered later they actually have more selections of sandwiches which weren’t listed on the menu. I also loved the butter croissant and the st. Regis blend coffee. The coffee smells and tastes good. I will definitely come back.”

“The busiest and longest queue in Blok M‼️ Hear me out, you gotta be patient and have a long time to stay at the queue to get their famous salt bread. I've been go to Blok M several time and didn't want to queue-ing. Believe me, it's long😔 They said they're open at 12PM, don't believe it‼️ I went there at exactly 11AM and the queue is already long. But, I have time and patient so bring it on. After 30 mins, I get to the front of the line. I smell the fresh bread inside and I was greedy this time. I ordered 6 FREAKIN BREAD✨ I choose 1 plain, 2 truffle egg, 2 sugar and 1 kinako chocolate. I also ordered their Sweet Japanese Coffee to accompany me eating those bread. In my defense, I just want to try it all at once and for the flavor, I lean to sweet (hence the sugar bread). Their coffee is drip version. Not that sour well the cream above is really help✨ Recommend to balance the salty coming from the bread. and for the bread ... I get why their so famous. The bread is really enjoyable. The salty level is a bit off for me, but the sugar version is 😘 The sugar version has abundance of filling inside, feeling like eating a choux. The truffle one is really fulfilling too, the topping and the scent of it is really good. The choco is a version for those who didn't enjoy cheese, like me. Although I coming alone, it was a pleasant to enjoy the bread and coffee while watching everyone queue up. Note that they only make several batch a day. Make sure you get it because they usually sold out not long before the afternoon. Recommend to try at least once. But for me, I might come back again‼️”

Established in 1932, this isn’t just an ice cream parlor—it’s a living piece of Jakarta’s history. Step inside, and you’re instantly transported back in time. The rattan chairs, vintage tiles, and high ceilings give off a classic colonial-era vibe. There’s no air conditioning, no fancy decor—just a simple, nostalgic atmosphere that feels both warm and genuine. Now, let’s talk about the ice cream. The crowd favorite? Spaghetti Ice Cream—a quirky but delicious twist where vanilla ice cream is pressed into spaghetti-like strands, topped with chocolate sauce and crushed nuts. It’s light, not overly sweet, and has that fresh, homemade feel. Other standout flavors include Rum Raisin and Nougat, both rich in taste and texture. Don’t expect modern café service, though. Everything here is old-school, from the service style to the fact that it’s cash only. But that’s part of the charm—this place is unapologetically itself. Ragusa isn’t just about ice cream; it’s about the experience. Perfect for those wanting to slow down and savor a bit of the past, right in the middle of the city. Best enjoyed in the late afternoon when the heat isn’t too intense.”

“First, this is NOT a coffee cafe. So don't expect to find any coffee, or any beverage for that matter except mineral water. This is a brownies-cookies-ice cream cafe, and you can only dine in for max 45 minutes. When I came during weekend, there's queue for dine-in, but not too long. My daughter and I had cookie bomb with ice cream and softbro. Though this is my first visit to this place, I've been a loyal Fudgybro customer since before the cookie bomb variety exist. We came with specific want, so no Q&A with the staff, just ordered, received, and ate. We finished in 20 minutes. Hahaha. There's no question for their fudgy brownies and cookie bomb, and softbro. They're simply the best. You should try them, it's worth the calories. My only 'complain' was they don't have customer's toilet. The need to go to toilet could come anytime, and the lack of it was concerning.”

The display of colorful kue jajan pasar is a feast for the eyes, and it’s hard not to be tempted by the vibrant colors and enticing aromas wafting through the air. What I particularly love about Sari Sari are the whimsical names of the pastries. Each name feels like a little story waiting to be discovered. From the playful “Colenak” to the cheeky “Kau Mau,” and the nostalgic “Lapis Malang,” each treat has its own unique character. The names like “Pepe Panggang,” “Pepe Sagu Merah,” “Pepe Sagu Suji,” and “Semer Mendem Ayam” add a fun element to the experience, making it feel less like a simple snack stop and more like a culinary adventure. My personal favorite, “Nona Manis,” is not only delightful in name but also in taste, capturing the essence of what makes these traditional treats so beloved. Despite the limited selection compared to Bandung, I found myself happily sampling a few different pastries. Each bite was a reminder of the rich flavors and textures that define Indonesian snacks. The sweetness of the kue, combined with the unique ingredients, creates a comforting experience that transports you back to childhood memories of visiting local markets. The ambiance of Sari Sari is also worth mentioning. The décor is simple yet inviting, with a layout that encourages customers to linger a bit longer. Whether you choose to enjoy your treats on-site or take them to go, the experience is enhanced by the friendly staff who are eager to help you navigate the menu and make recommendations. Overall, Sari Sari Aneka Kue Jajan Pasar in Sarinah Mall is a charming destination for anyone craving traditional Indonesian snacks. It may not have the extensive variety of its Bandung counterpart, but the quality and flavor of the pastries more than make up for it. The playful names and delicious tastes create an enjoyable experience that’s perfect for a quick break during shopping or a sweet treat to savor at home. “Baru coba shaved ice rasa stroberi ini, dan bener-bener enak banget! Es serutnya halus, langsung lumer di mulut. Rasa stroberinya juga enak, manisnya nggak terlalu kuat, pas banget. Ada sensasi manis susu yang nambahin kelezatannya, bikin rasanya makin creamy.”
