We tried Fried Rice, Scallop with Brocolli, Fried Egg Plant with Beef Floss, Seafood Mee Hoon, Fried Oyster Pancake, and the iconic Golden Broth Budda Jumps Over The Wall. All taste nice!. The pricing quite high, but the service and facilities are well worth it!.”

It turned out to be the perfect timing — calm, peaceful, and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed business talk. We ordered the Jiao Zi Vegetarian Jamur and the Fried Lumpia, paired with Chinese Tea. Both dishes were light yet flavorful: the dumplings were fresh with a nice earthy taste from the mushrooms, while the lumpia was crisp and satisfying without being too heavy. The tea rounded out the meal perfectly. Service was excellent — staff were responsive and attentive without being intrusive. The ambience in that hour was simply ideal: serene, comfortable, and heartwarming. The menu features the same signature cocktails that have made Jigger & Pony famous, all expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. “Incredible, fantastic and a memorable culinary experience was had to celebrate my husband's birthday last night at August Jakarta. I'm not a food critic or expert so I won't go into detail with the technicalities of food but we sure enjoyed every single bite and sip last night. The flavours and textures were harmonious and although we wanted more because they tasted so good, we felt so full and satisfied by the end of the night. We didn't want to miss any dishes so we ordered the full set of 16 courses, with Foie Gras PB & J and "zero drinks pairing" to complete our dinner. I personally think that "great desserts" served in a fine restaurant is on the rare side but I can confidently say the sweet dishes by the pastry chef were the most innovative and refreshing. Dare I say, the best desserts I've had. Everything was well balanced, light and left me wanting more (even though my buttoned pants were struggling to keep it together). I can see that every single thing done by the August team was very well thought-out: from the menu, drinks pairing, crockeries, atmosphere to the littlest detail like stationeries. Upon the first greeting until we step outside the venue, the service was impeccable, definitely comparable to the finest restaurants in the world. It was obvious that all the staff were not only knowledgable but passionate about their job and workplace. Our lovely waiters and waitress was giving us a lot of insight to the stories behind each dish and also where they sourced their produce. This attention to detail was really the key that sets August apart from all the other good restaurants and made them "excellent"”

“Locavore NXT was mentioned to me as being the best in Bali and one of the best in the world. The experience already starts driving up the estate, luah green gardens welcome you on. The first step to entering the reataurant aptly is a wet towel to clean you up from the journey. This happens in a cute garden shed from where you get transported to the first room, a large Bar and drink lab with a view on the ricefields. Your host will explain the story of NXT and thr dinner ahead. Amazing welcome drink options were provided, all made locally. Where the Beeswax Aperol was outstanding, but the non alcoholic drinks where great too. With this a bouquet of produce from the rooftop farm/jungle was providedwith 2 delicous suprise amuses. After this we we guided to the cellar or the root of the building where a mushroom farm and education library is located, there another snack was served from the terarrium, which was surpisingly more tasty than it looked and sounded. Frome here on we were guided back to the main dining area. Avast space where the chef stations are quietly working on all courses. Without jumping in all dishes, in genral the concept is of combining local products in surprising combinations. Some work great (chicken fat on a ginger cake as dessert), others a little less (an overtly dalty and duck). Overall dishes where experimental but only a few could wow me. Too often it felt like forced combinations to make something different instead of aiming for delicious. And suprsiingly the flavors where mostly western tasting, whereas I was hoping for more exotic. The drink pairing we choose was pushing boundaries for sure, but not every drink is going to please everyone. From light tart and fizzy, too coffee drinks that tasted like wine, always a surprise, not always delicious. All in all Locavore NXT is most certainly a food happening witha great sory and amazing experimentation, but not necessarily Bali's most delicious restaurant.”

“I recently visited Modernhaus, and I was thoroughly impressed by this new addition to the local bar scene. The atmosphere is delightful, featuring long huge table seating arrangement, warm lighting, and a modern yet cozy decor that makes it perfect for both intimate gatherings and lively nights out. The cocktail menu is truly a standout, offering a creative array of drinks that cater to various palates. I tried the signature Kenanga and Melati, crafted with precision and bursting with flavor—a perfect blend of smooth gin and a hint of Jasmine. The bartenders are not only skilled but also genuinely passionate about their craft, eager to recommend drinks based on your preferences. Ooh, and they allow us to order dessert from Bouchon as this bar is located in the same building as Bouchon restaurant. FYI, this place doesn’t have parking space, though they provide valet service for 35k including the parking fee. Overall, Modernhaus offers a fantastic experience with its inviting ambiance and expertly crafted cocktails. Whether you’re looking for a place to unwind after work or kick off a night out, this bar is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to return to explore more of their menu! “One of a really good restaurants in Senopati strip. Dining area is in the 1st floor, while bar is upstairs. Doughlab is co-located here, one of the dessert menu even combines doughlab cookie with ice cream. Parking is limited, but there's a valet service at IDR 35k (april 2024). Clean unisex bathroom. Reservation is recommended because they don't have too many seats here. Food was just fantastic, some came in a fairly small portion so people can order a few food to sample the varieties. Me and my 10 year old came for dinner. We had scallop (absolutely delicious and cooked well), mini tacos (choices of wagyu or tuna or mixed), crab cake, cauliflower (they also serve various vegetable options), seabass (our favorite), and we had to try the fried chicken (came in 6 mixed pieces, with original vs spicy option), as well as the doughlab cookie for dessert. All of the food were seasoned very well. Price is considered expensive, but definitely worth the taste.”
