Just got to Semarang, and my friend took me to this Bento Kopi next to Unnes University, saying it's the students' "secret hideout." I originally thought it was just a regular little coffee shop, but when I got to the entrance, Anjay! This isn't a coffee shop, it's practically a public square, right?!
The Place is Ridiculously Huge, the Vibe is Super Chill
I was seriously shocked when I walked in; the space is huge and divided into several areas. For my girls who can't stand the heat, you can dive straight into the indoor air-conditioned area, sink into the beanbag chairs[1], and just chilling while scrolling on your phone is the best feeling. If you want some fresh air, you can go to the outdoor area; the view is wide open, and the evening breeze is super comfortable. The best part is, they even have Live Music[2] at night, which totally maxes out the whole vibe. It's perfect for coming with friends to Nongkrong and chat.
I casually ordered their signature Kopi Susu[3] and a Rice Bowl[4]. The prices are dirt cheap; a lot of things on the menu are just a little over 10,000 Rupiah, so friendly for students[5]! The coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste; next time I might have to ask for less sugar. As for the rice bowl, the taste was okay, it's just that the side dishes inside felt a bit "shy"—the portion wasn't very big, haha. But considering the price, what more can you ask for!

But, to be fair, while this place is Mantap, it has its downsides. Probably because it's so crowded, the hygiene details can't quite keep up.
