When it was my turn to order, I had to get the signature Sate Ayam (chicken satay)[2]! The moment it arrived, I understood why it's so popular... The chunks of meat are huge! It's nothing like those dry, small bits of meat; every piece is thick and plump, grilled to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with the juices sealed in perfectly.
Their peanut sauce is also worth raving about[3]. It's ground very finely, with a silky smooth texture, and the balance of salty and sweet is just right. It's insanely fragrant! Eaten without the sauce, the meat itself is already very flavorful; with the sauce, the taste is simply elevated.
