Every time I come to Bandung, my friends always clamor to go to the Factory Outlets, but this time I discovered an even cooler place in the city center! It's the legendary The Kings Shopping Centre[1], which has experienced several major fires and 'risen from the ashes'! Honestly, seeing it now, you'd never guess its tumultuous history. It's so cool.
As soon as I walked in, I was amazed. The design is so futuristic, it feels like stepping into a sci-fi movie scene[2]. The mall is big and bright, with plenty of air conditioning, making it super Chill to walk around~ It's completely different from other old malls in Bandung; the sense of luxury is off the charts.
The clothes here are the main highlight! The prices are really amazing, and the quality is decent, especially perfect for fashionistas like us who love to hunt for good deals. Most of them are styles popular with young people[3], students will definitely have a blast shopping here! If you get tired of shopping, the ground floor has a food court with tons of popular internet-famous snacks, and some places have queues that stretch on forever. There's also a CGV cinema and an affordable children's play area, making it simply a perfect family Nongkrong spot[4].
But to be honest, maybe because it was just renovated not long ago, quite a few shops inside the mall are still empty or under renovation[5], so shopping feels a bit disjointed. Also, the internal design is a bit confusing, for someone like me who's bad with directions, finding a restroom takes ages, Anjay![6]
