Bali Greek Food Worth a 1-Hour Queue: What's So Divine?

Just past 6 PM, passing by this Seminyak shop, wow, the queue outside was longer than the one at the convenience store next door for buying water! The blue and white facade was particularly striking in the night, and inside, it was bustling with people; it felt like all the tourists in Bali had squeezed in here[1]. I thought to myself, Anjay, it's just Greek food, is it really that exaggerated?

Finally squeezed my way in, and instantly felt transported! Blue domes, white walls, paired with lively Greek tunes, it really had that vibe[2]. The whole restaurant was super vibrant, everyone was having a blast, some people even stood up and danced, the atmosphere was simply Mantap! Photos turned out amazing, every corner looked like a postcard.

Since there were many of us, we directly ordered a big platter of Mixed Grill[3], and the portion was incredibly generous. The grilled meat was sizzling with oil, and the aroma was enticing. Special shout-out to the Chicken Souvlaki[4], it was incredibly tender, and the seasoning was spot on; I felt it was even more authentic than what I had in Greece, no exaggeration![5] The Chicken Gyros[6] was also very good, the flatbread was soft and chewy, and they gave plenty of sauce; my friends all said it was delicious.

However, to be honest, it wasn't without its flaws. The skewers in our platter and the pork rolls my friend ordered separately were a bit dry[7], a bit disappointing. And when it got crowded, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, the serving speed was like it was on 0.5x speed[8]. It might be a bit hard to comfortably Nongkrong and chat because it was really too noisy and crowded; it's more suitable for a large group of friends looking for a lively time.

After 6:30 PM, the queue gets ridiculously long[9], either book in advance, or go early! Otherwise, you'll really wait until you question your life choices.

Blindly go for Chicken Souvlaki[10] and Mixed Grill[11] (suitable for sharing). Pork dishes are a hit or miss, they might be dry, order with caution.

For two people, order one or two appetizers and two main courses, it's about 60 AUD (roughly 600k+ IDR), which is decent value for money[12]. I heard there are also specials on Mondays, with some dishes only 50k, practically a steal, go for it![13]

I saw some comments saying that during breakfast hours, there were issues with unclean ingredients[14]. Although I didn't encounter it during my dinner this time, everyone should still be cautious, especially my friends with sensitive stomachs.
