My legs were dead from shopping at Lampung City Mall, and I was just looking for a random place to fill my stomach, but I was drawn in by the decor of this place, My Kopi-O!. It looked pretty cozy, so I did a quick Google search, and Anjay! 4.9 stars! I thought, 'This has got to be good,' and went straight in! 🏃♀️

To be fair, the ambiance is really nice. The interior design is pretty cool, and the space is large. Whether you're here to Nongkrong[1] with your besties or bringing the whole family for a meal, the vibe is totally on point. 👌
We sat down and ordered drinks first, and I have to praise their Teh Tarik[2]! I finally had a "real" teh tarik in Lampung, not that overly sweet, cheap stuff made from sugar water. The balance between the tea and milk flavor was just right.
For the main course, we ordered the highly recommended Char Kway Teow[3]. It had plenty of wok hei, and that smoky flavor was so addictive! I'd come back again just for this plate of char kway teow. My friend's Ayam Sambal Matah[4] was supposedly the best version he's ever had. It seems like Indonesian food is their strong suit.
BUT! Here comes the interesting part. Their food quality is really like opening a blind box. What we ordered this time was okay, but scrolling through reviews, I saw people saying their food was cold and bland, and others complaining that the drinks were sickeningly sweet[5].
